Ph1 Headlights - what brand?

Going to get my Ph1 resprayed in the coming months. So the overal look isn't let down by the headlights I am going to get some new ones. Are there any ones to look out for? I have taken a quick look on AutoDoc and there are a few at varying prices:
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/abakus/8349952
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/johns/2082328
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/hella/931763
Prices range from about £40 to £170 for the Hella ones. Cheaper ones ok?

I have already used the 3M kit on them and they need doing again. In my experience the 3M kit is good but you need to keep regularly doing it to keep them looking fresh.

I've had a quick look into this before as I want to freshen up my headlights too. From what I can tell, the Hella ones are unfortunately Left Hand Drive only, so they're not compatible with RHD cars. As for the cheaper brands, I'm not too sure. It seems like they're compatible but I'm yet to see anyone use them.

I had no idea that the Hella ones were LHD only! Might have to be a gamble on the other branded ones by the looks of it!

Left Hand Traffic is where the traffic drives on the left, as we do in the UK.

The Hella units 1LL 007 510 071/081 units are in fact the only correct items listed by Autodoc for the UK market, all the other brands listed are for

Right Hand Traffic ( LH Drive). 7701045174/75.

Hella have discontinued them, so no new stock will become available.

HELLA (tecalliance.net)

If you want to trawl the internet, these are the numbers to look for

LH headlight:260602580R 770145176 ( no bulbs ) 260602580R ( with bulbs )

RH headlight 260104826R 7701045177 ( no bulbs ) 260104826R ( with bulbs)

You may have more luck with the base models H4 units, 1LE 007 350 111/121, though I cannot cannot vouch they are a direct plug in replacement.

I have a set from autodoc, TYC are the manufacturer I’m sure. Decent quality and fit as they should

Any progress for you at this point KitsonRis? Or any others with experience with aftermarket brand headlights?

The light output of my ph1 headlights is pretty miserable. Polishing has hardly helped. Perhaps the lens/projector that sits right in front of the light bulb has worn too much. I am therefore looking at replacing the headlights but they seem only available from brands like TYC, VanWezel and Prasco. Im hestitant about the quality of these brands. I tried replacing my tail lights with TYC ones last year, but the fit was absolutely terrible.

I spent my money on ITBs instead 🙃

Although I did look around for leadlights for my other car as they were broken and TYC came up a decent brand (the article I found online was replacing an E60 M5 headlights for TYC ones and they said the wuality was good for the price). So when I get around to it I will probably go look at TYC

Proper capital allocation :p

Seems a few have had a good experience with TYC. May give them another try

Does anyone know if I can adjust a phase 1 left-hand drive headlight to a right-hand drive one? A pair of new Hellas for LHD appears available. I think there might be an adjuster on my existing headlight that looks like it affects the left/right orientation, but not sure..
