Friend is looking at a ph1, but the dealer selling says the keys are non-remotes !

HPI check all comes out ok ..

Any ideas !? Got a 200 mile round trip tomorrow, but dont want to do that if it's going to be a lemon.

Cheers !

My ph1 172 came with one remote key and one normal key. The none remote will open door and start the car, but obviously wont disarm the alarm. I take it this wasn't how the car was supplied then?

I bet the cars original key has fucked up and the dealer has opted to buy a cheap copy key without the remote function.

The immobiliser will still work as it works off the coded key, but the Alarm and central locking won't operate.

Something else to look out for, if there is only one key hole on the car (just drivers side) then the other door will always be open.

keep in mind a new remote key can cost near £200, so id be looking to get at least that knocked off
