Lots of Scrap...
right i have an idle issue on my phase 1 172, engines from a different car and i used the engine/sensors on engine and loom off the donor car but everything else off the original car, ecu etc etc
it runs perfectly when cold, idles at 800-900rpm or whatever they idle at!lol!
runs fine all the time, even when idling funny, pulls well and doesnt use excessive amouts of fuel
engine is cooling fine, no air locks in system and heat inside etc
right now issue is the car will randomly idle at 2000rpm, then 1200, then 1500, all over the place after throttle use. switch it off, start again, will idle at 1200, then creep to 1500, blip throttle, back up to 2000, blip again down to 1500, all over. let it cool, start it, 800-900 again, leave it to warm up and it creeps
so far swapped inlet and resealed thinkin was airleak, then swapped throttle body, then idle valve, still same
any thoughts?
also the main fuses inside the little box near battery under the bonnet, there are four slottable connectors with fuses on a little plastic carrier box thing, what way round are all those connections sposed to be made and what rate fuses to each pairing? i stupidly didnt note which went where and guessed the connections, could that be causing it? only i guessed that with them being such large fuses the car would simply not start or run if i got them wrong?
any advice/help much appreciated
cheers
