Phase 1 Clio 172 - High Mileage?

  PH1 V6
all depends on how the car has been cared for..... if the engine has been well looked after, serviced on time then there is no reason why is cant do 200k.

A poorly looked after car may do only half that.

There is no actual life expectancy.... its all down to the individual car

  Maybe a 172 Cup..
Couple on here with decent milages mate. Remember even if average milage has been done, 100k will be on the horizon now. As said, servicing is the key.

Mine is on 117k at min;)

Service history means f**k all on cars of this age/mileage/cost. I change the oil etc myself on a regular basis, that won't show on a service history. And I could get a fictional, fully stamped history in 24hrs.

  53 Clio's & counting
I think just a stamped book is not enough.

My car has full history right up to when I bought it. I do all work myself, but i still write it in the book, keep all reciepts, write down when any work is done, and if someone was to look through my folder they would see a lot more info than a stamped book, to me thats service history, and that, to me, shows that the owner was caring enough to do it, then more than likely he/she has looked after the car.

Course as Bear has meantioned, you have to look carefully as getting a stamped book is rediculously easy.

110k just now, 90 miles a day on itbs daily driver.

Like folk said maintenance is the key I would imagine. Although newish to the clio's, like all cars, look after them they will be fine :)

80k itbs was my daily driver since last November regular oil changes and maintenance and it'll go on forever. As long as you don't let cow boys work on it that is

Thanks guys.

If I bought a well looked after one with 110k+ or whatever miles, other than regular oil changes what else needs to be done in order to keep her going?
