RB 197
Evening all, hope someone can help me.
I have a phase 1 172 that has been sat in a warehouse since November last year. It came up for sale at a snip so i took it.
Problem is now i have got it home it wont start.
I drove it home 3 weeks ago, on the journey home it died. I jumped it and it got me home. Changed the battery straight away and all seemed fine.
It has no MOT and needed a couple of things doing to get it up and running so didn't start it for a couple of weeks.
When going to start it last week, it wouldn't go due to the battery seeming flat.
When connecting the jump leads it turns over no problem but will not fire. After 10 seconds of turning over the SERV light comes on.
Done some searching on here and found a few threads that sounded like my issue.
I read the fuel pump could not be working so today i changed the relays from 1 of my phase 2 clios as that has been mentioned. Hasnt helped.
Tried to listen to what a working fuel pump should sound like in my running clio but cant hear anything, so not sure if that's the case or not.
Also put some fresh fuel in today as its nearly empty and sat for so long but also still no good.
Any help appreciated before I call out a mobile mechanic.
