Hi,

Does anyone know of a program that I can use to resize my photos in batches? I have loads from holidays etc that are huge and want to shrink them in both picture and file size but still keep the original quality.
I know of that Powertoy add-on for Windows XP but you lose too much quality with that.
Thanks in advance :approve:

1st u need to make an 'action' to resize the photos.

open one of the photos, open the actions pane and make a new action.

name it and press record.

go to image>>imagesize and input the size you want it to be, click ok.

you'll notice this process has been logged under your new action in the actions pane. press stop.

close the photo, don't have to save it.

go to file>>automate>>batch

select your new action at the top, and select the source folder.

set destination to save and close,

set it off, and it'll do the lot for u.

hope that helps

:D cheers mate will give that a go!

Yep, powertoys resizer is superb. It adds into the shell extension so you can right click any picture and resize it to a selection of common sizes. Perfect for resizing to web applications.

A whole lot better than bloating up with photoshop if all you want is easy resizing.
