Photo stream conundrum.

Photostream only stores photos for 30 days in the cloud, so your new phone will only download the last 30 days worth.
Your old phone has all of them as you've only ever used that phone and it's always saved the photo to the photstream (on the phone) as soon as it was taken.

Mine only stores the last 1000, some of which are just over a month old.
No what he's saying is that you won't be able to get those photos by downloading them from cloud...
My guess would be to sync the old one to your I-tunes on your computer then sync the new one
