Anyone know of decent sites to get beginners up and running with photography?

Aperture and shutter speed are foreign to me! I am great at taking a blurry photo though...

Serious suggestion: try your local library. Usually got loads of books, all free of course! Tom Ang is one author to look out for, helped me out quite a bit when I first got a camera.

Oddly there appears to be a relative lack of free info on the web in an easy to digest form. I might write something soon.

type in photography forum dude into google, theres a good one which should come up top, loads of advice, and critics etc.. very helpful!

alot of people display their work on their too for inupt

I regular read "Practical Photography" magazine. You can find it in your local newsagent. Not only explains all the terms but also has lots of creative ideas for taking better pictures.
