photoshop help please.

i am new using photoshop. i have created some lettering and would like to know how i would make it look distressed /used /vintage look as i am going to put it onto a t-shirt and want it to look worn. just simple step or online guide.i tried searching but its complicated. thanks peeps

Probably need to create or photograph some kind of texture and the play around with levels and masks. I guess your going for that sort of 'peeling paint/print' effect?

the way I would go about it is by getting some 'grunge' type brushes off the internet and using it to rub out areas of each letter,

can't think of another way right now!
