I'm guessing they're illegal though right?

Make sure you get them from Dubweizer...The rest all look s**t imo!

On my old williams - And yeh they are illegal.

Plates were about 35, borders are another 20 i think. No sure if they've got them!

I think they look better on mk1's tho! Seen a few mk2's and a vee with them and they look pants imo.

I agree with that. I was going to get a set a while back to use for show use etc, now I think they look toss.

I've never had any problems with mine, although it hasn't done many miles with them on. These are reflective which may have helped, a mate of mine had german ones on his golf which weren't reflective and he had some trouble

I like them alot, however not worth the hassle! Id get them done for shows and events like FCS only..

Metal ones look so much better than the platic ones! Plus you need the borders! Thats essentially what makes them!

I used to have them on my VTS...

I sorted out a group buy/deal with Dubmeister and got a good percentage off as around 50 people ordered them. Haha. They weren't the new "Lexus lights" then but I think they are now.

at the time it felt right.. id done my part with it and it was finished as far as i was concerned, i buy cars do them up and sell them... lol

looking back would have been better keeping it BUT i have a lower milage, newer, better looking canvas to play with now

needed a few pennys spending on it too

but yes they are stuck on with some rather industrial velcrow lol , ive ordered the propper hlders for my new ones tho

On some cars... yes. I had a mass debate (not masturbate) with some people about them and there are laws, which backup their use on cars registered before September 2001.

Don't beleive everything you read, i got busted for mine and he showed me in black and white the regulations for plates and european/JDM spec cars. )Learnt a few things myself) French plates on a UK reg'd vehicle is illegal!

Still left mine on tho!

Kind of contradicted yourself there mate? I too found some "black and white" regulations on the tinterweb.

Also, the French plates were never picked up in my MOT and that was taken to Citroen so they of all people would fail them.
