Pic request- painted badges

Has anyone got a pic of 2.0 badges painted in liquid yellow on an artic blue 182? Trying to decided what colour to do mine.

They look good. Ive just managed to prise them off the car! My fingers hurt! Didnt break the lugs either!

Any one done them on a flame red yet? Might get mine done, I'm getting my callipers done about a weeks time is it better to keep them the same colour or can you ba a little different? So can they be hard to take off?

For some reason my liquid yellow badges look a different to yours??

maybe its the different blue??

im not too sure matey but mark did a great job on spraying mine, the layer of pearl really sparkles.

did u get the 2 part liquid yellow paint? ie the yellow can and the pearl 'flip' can or did yours just come as one colour?

from marks experience he says its better to paint the silver over afterwards rather than mask off the original silver

thats what i was thinking matey, when mine catch the light they really sparkle and flip, they sometimes even shimmer a kind of green colour

i paint the writing on afterwards, takes me hours though as i'm a perfectionist lol!

if anyone wants a set doing give me a bell, currently got flame red petrol blue and a few other goodies in stock.

gibson - my paint had two coats a pearl and a undercoat, is that how yours came? kinda looks like just the metallic base coat (which is a nice colour in itself actually)

^^^ yeah I got a base colour which is just yellow, and then i got another can which is the pearl, I gave them 2-3 coats of base yellow then 2 coats of pearl. might get them re-done fancy doing them?? how did you paint the silver on after?? silver pen

it was witha silver touch up pen. To be honest mate might just be the way the pics were taken, probably look the same in real life! If you got the two tins cant see them being much different to be honest. If you want me to redo them at any point though let me know, although tbh i'd wait till you've got some chips etc on them before bothering, cos looks like you've done a good job of em yourself

They look s**t hot!!!!! yeah thats what a few folk say about it when i show them the 2 pics, could be the lighting or camera etc... best seeing them in the real see if they are different. What was your method of painting them? drying times and how many coats of the base yellow and then pearl etc... cheers for all this by the way! if I were to re-do them again how would i get all the paint off? thinners

As for coats depends on the paint and how thick the coats go on. I used approx 4 coats of base and 6 coats of pearl on andys badges. Depending on how thick th paint is i normally sit and chip it off, although to be honest all you need to do is prob lightly sand the surface and reapply a few extra coats of the pearl

The base was fairly thick but the pearl had very watered down look to it. yeah think i'll give it a light sand with some wet and dry and re-coat with a few more layers of pearl. if not i'll have to just buy some new badges! lol
