Picked up my Corsa VXR, few picks

  C-VXR, T8 Map 220BHP
Finally picked it up Saterday after ordering it in December.

Am really pleased with it and drives better than I remember from the half day test I had. Pick up at low revs is great.

Like I said a last month when I mentioned I’d ordered it, I got about 25% off with VAX family discounts and GM Credit card points etc. So it was a bargain (+ trying to get discount of any VXR if you are a member of the public is almost impossible).

Library pic (was too dark for a inside one)

Don’t plan to do much apart from a re-map / BlueFin to take the power to 230BHP with 230 torque.

Was sad to see the 172 go as it was my first “first choice” car I brought and unlike my others cars had it for 4 years (norm is about 6 months). Found myself talking to it on the drive over to Vaux thanking it for being such a good car! (+ washed it in the AM too).

thanks for looking.

Saw one of these yesterday, v nice. Looks very tall in pics, but much more planted in the flesh.

I don't think the rear's the most flattering of pics - that exhaust/splitter just looks weird to me. But otherwise looks the part :)

I wasn’t so keen on the back-end when I first saw one but its grown on me. It was designed in a wind tunnel so maybe the diffuser actually does something.

i really like them!

considering you can have a 230bhp one for less than £1k's of mods....bargain!

these'll be the new Glanza... expect 400whp ones will be firing out the door soon enough

really like these had a test drive in a arden blue one an there really smart an seats are amazing tbh think black or red are the best colours but a bit steep on the wallet for a corsa but if ur over the moon then good effort

A 230 BHP remap is offered by all the big Vauxhall specialists, --- Thorny, Regal, Courtney, and Triple eight racing (888) etc for around £500. Bluefin has also got in on the act

All have reported better and more consistent power delivery with no handling issues. This is also the case from peps who have had there own cars re-mapped on VXRoline (a vxr owners site) and given there opinions.

so will prob get it done. few peps have reported 280 BHP with large intercoolers and down pipes etc but i think they will be just creating smoke and ripping there CV joits to bits, before they get any of that power down

Nice, you not fancy it in arden blue?

Looks good though.

i like the blue and its a VXR only colour but they are the most popular choice so are/ will be more common. I like the black as its not so "in your face" as the Red and Blue colours are.

I like it mate. sat it one my local stealers, and the seats were immense. A cheeky remap and it will be pumping out a nice bit of power.

nice little car there - yeah with the discounts it sounds as though you have got a very good deal for a tidy car - like the black with the blue calipers as well :) cant help thinking that for the corsa vxr you could get a better car for the money -0 15k - ouch !!! i would have my vx220 turbo back for that !!

I hope renault decide to go down the turbo route for cliosports soon. It needs doing. Then we could have really cheap remap mods too. :)
I honestly don't know why they didnt put a turbo in the twingo. An uprated 1.2 16v TCE woulda done it, or a 1.4 version of that. Probably becuase it would outshine the 197 on paper

guy i know has ordered one and is off to regal with it as he reckons he can top 300bhp with it.

They look crackin on the road too - real presence. I'd have red or black - blue will be common hehe :) Bluefin and Remus - YKIMS ;)

So about £12-£13k you musta paid then? Fookin bargain for a brand spanker that! It'll still be worth that in a years time I bet!

The non-optional 17s are gash heh - I'm amazed there are any without the 18s tbh! 192bhp standard iirc.

And the Twingo GT is a 1.2 Turbo IIRC...?
