nice one mate.

what has it had done engine wise - the same as andy's car from GDI?

looks nice, but could do with centre caps to cover up the rusty bits. Why have you taken them off?

Does the relocated induction kit work better?

mods on the engine are:
Angel works cams and manifold match
OMEX management
Battery relocated to boot
maxogen filter
cable throttle body

It is the same as GDIs demo car except that has schrick cams and mine is faster ;)

I prefer the wheels without the plastic clip on bits, but I know what everyone is saying the rusty bits dont look good. I was going to try and get some small alloy caps to put in the hole but havent got round to it.

Ali the exhaust will be getting replaced at some point so will have a twin exit again. Trouble is an AWT, BTB or Orbisoud cost lots of ££££'s so will have to wait.

The air filter was relocated to reduce inlet temps. Dont know how much this effects power but a considerable reduction in the temps was measured.

mines is in GDI getting the same done at the minute mate - was out in andys car and it seemed pretty rapid!

do you find it more driveable? or just a lot better at taking off from lower revs?

are you getting AWT cams and a remap?

If you are you will get better low down torque and mid range. It will feel more driveable because of that. You get more top end but the main thing I notice is the low down torque.

Great car this....lots of hard work and money well rewarded imo.

Whats next on the agenda?

It is a real improvement over the standard car. The leda coilovers make a big difference.

I am going for as standard looking as possible with as much performance as I can afford. If I can break the 220bhp barrier I will leave it at that.

I have got a new seat, cobra suzuka, and innovate wideband lambda to get fitted, should be next week.

Then wait for BenR (AWT) to sort his new inlet manifold. I will get the inlet plus a custom radiator and a remap hopefully 220 - 225 bhp.

Problem is you always want more...

my car does not have shrick cams..... it did for a while before i found an alternative.

faster mark..... ok GDI test strip test session...

I also have some rather nice new cams on the way soon which will give more power.

yes the wheel arch is marked.

An old bloke pulled out of a T junction and clipped the back of my car as I was turning into it. I had only had it for about a month. He said his foot had slipped off the clutch. Oh well s**t happens I suppose. I could not be arsed to spend time claiming on insurance and havent got round to getting it done.

dont listen to these gheys, leave the centre caps off, looks more hardcore. LOL

I think they look better off.

lol at the gay comment. I thought it was only valver drivers who could be classed as hardcore;)

I think the centre-caps look better off than on, but don't really like the 182 wheels full-stop which is why I changed mine.

Go for some hardcore lightweight alloys!

car looks great, what rear springs are u running 5" 300lb?

yes

I originally had 200 fr 250 rear. Swapped them for 225 fr 300 rear. Much better feel to the car with very sharp turn in.

I do get a problem with to much compression on the rear over big bumps at speed where the spring runs out of travel which is a bit annoying. I am not sure if you can get round it.
