isnt that a mk2 ph1 with a engine conversion?Will it be getting a new front end or just 2 tail pipes ?

im not sure about the new front end yet ive got the parts but they are silver and i just wanna drive it b4 the car has a whole respray, and no its not having the twin tail pipes cos our shape has got a wheel well in the way, and im not 2 fussed on the twin exit

wtf? how can putin a 182 engine in a clio shell not make it a 182, it doesnt loose any horses going in to a lighter shell so its still a clio 182 or am i missing sumthing here?

Your sheel is ethe same as the 172/182 ones its no lighter or heavier apart from the sunroof.

Its never a true 182 as the factory never made it have a work with Renault Uk about track days etc its not a Renault sport car shell when it left (although it makes no difference) so its officialy not a Renult sport.

I respect what you've done here but you are comparing apples to pears. Your car was cheaper because its not the same. If you can bring it up to identical spec then I'd say fair play, but the 182 is more than just an engine in a shell. Good Luck with the project.

But in all respects, it will be a good sleeper 1.2 if you keep the rest standard.

mate the whole car is 182 parts bar the shell, suspension brakes etc, ill ask a simple question is does the car sit on the 1.2 side of the fence or the 182 side of the fence?

As a side note, id get better brakes, as if its running the standard 1.2 items, they wont be designed to stop a car with that much power.

You will not say its a 182. You'll say f**k knows. Even with a bodykit on your going to guess 172 due to the single tailpipe you are running.

As I said before you've done well with what you've done but you can't start claiming its a 182 as its not. For example, if I put Trophy suspension on my car + some stickers and new spoiler I can't claim its a black Trophy can I?

a 182 is a car, the engine is a 2.0ltr 16v with 182 brake, putting a 2.0ltr engine in a generic 1.2/1.4 doesn't make a 182. That's the point Dave is making I think. But fair play, should be a nice sleeper when it's done solong as you don't intend to badge it up?
