Pioneer Ipod Adaptor

posting this for a mate, hes got a Pioneer head unit and is getting a Pioneer ipod adaptor for it...

i know there isn't a lot of room to hide stuff behind the headunit so anyone got one or fitted one? where about did you put it? and is it juts a case of pluging it into the head unit or does it need a power feed from the battery?

anything else i should know about fitting it?

i have one mate, havent fitted it to my clio yet, but in my ibiza i had it under the rear seats, with the ipod sitting in my drivers chair storage bit down the right hand side of the seat..

it needs a power and an earth, which i got from my amp, though depending on where you want it, you could probably use the cigg lighter wires..

just to let you know, the adaptor is slow, and the ipod itself isnt usable when connected up.. can only be used by the headunit..

might be better just getting one of those dension things, or just a headphone to AUX input cable, would be alot quicker in selecting playlists, artists etc
