Pioneer Stalk Controls and iPod Adaptor?

Just bought a Pioneer headunit and need a bit of info as im used to Sony HUs.

I need to get the stalk controls working so whats the easiest/cheapest way to do this? (do i have to take the dash of as i did with the Sony?)

Also I have a renault ipod unit that fits the standard CD changer port, is it possible to get an adaptor to use this with the Pioneer?

had the dash off for the tweeters anyway, but i think you can shove it behind the stereo if it will fit.

use my ipod thru the usb bit as it charges it and u can use the HU to navigate thru albums etc

Great, I always want to change my stereo with the stalk control works.
Do I need both parts? Any other brand available?? Will it keep all the stalk function?? thx!

You'll need both parts, if you google you'll be able to find free postage for them as well
But if you want to save about £7 then pop into Halfords

yh you need both parts, mine keeps all function, top button to select cd, tuner, bluetooth etc etc, wheel scroller for radio stations. only thing i found is that on cd's it only scrolls back in numbers on tracks from 1 to 15 to 14 etc not the correct way which bugs me but its only a lil thing.

Yeah the only this is (For some reason) scrolling up with the wheel goes forward a track rather than backwards, though you could easily put the scroll wheel the other way around so its correct. I might try that when I put my subwoofer in.

Do I need the Connects2 CAN-Bus Pioneer Adaptor???
And does the new stereo require the original pin code??

can bus one is only for 182 or mk3
pin code wont be needed

i can supply the stalk controls for 33 delivered
also these require no dash removal

I have the original stalk control on my 172 MK2.
Is yours different? Or you talked abt adaptor??
