Pipercross OR Standard

Car  Clio Sport 172
Help please . . .
What do you thinks best?
A pipercross venom induction kit or the standard box?

Thanks in advance

Because with most "generic" induction kits you loose power, however if your after noise go for it.

Im after power. I thought they let more air through so you get more power. Just seenalot of none standars inductions on the clios on here

The standard air boxs arent to bad on the clios, unlike 106s and similar that react well to simple breathing mod. Power is harder to get from the clios.

Consider the JMS set up, they did some testing and saw some gains.

Yes a remap is a good investment, but it depends on what else you plan to do.

If you plan to do, Exhaust, inlets etc some time in the near future a remap should come last.
But if you dont plan any other mods get it done.

The RStuner generic map is as good as anything for a standard car but if you have mods i would suggest going to either Tour-De-Force (TDF) and seeing Matt or Going to RStuning and seeing Paul for a custom map done on the rollers.

Matt said the standard airbox is pretty good generally iirc. just get a decent filter in there. job done.

Car has come with a Venom in it. Seems quick as it is. How much power gain would i get with a standard? Would i notice much differance??

you prob wouldn't notice it no. get to an RR day maybe and see what it makes. maybe pick a std airbox up on the cheap and swap them over on the day? could be interesting :)

If you returned to standard all you would notice is the noise reduction, i don't think any induction setup makes a noticable physical difference on a 1*2

It is bloody noisey. lol
Turns some heads though
Will deffo look into standars, might even pinch my mates for the RR day
