pistons

Car  renault clio 1.8 16v
ive been told that u can get a certain pist called a feraerris piston that increases bhp,ive loked for then but no luck.are there any other pistons that do the same thing and who does them?

Theres quite a few manufacturers of after-market and bespoke pistons, tho many arent that nice...crap materials/finnishing and tolerancing. They are generally made by "drop-forging" and are known as forged pistons. They can have a variety of crown designs which can increase or decrease Cr depending on application. Increasing the Cr will increase BHP, but ideally you would want to look at other modifications also...cams/headwork/itb's, then/and look at the bottom end. Im a great believer of doing it all at once...saves you lots of labour costs!

I can supply a couple of makes... email me if your intrested info@ap-developments.com

yea, the renault market for quality pistons is non existent.

But simply changing piston itself wont realise any gains.
