Placin Axel Stands

Anyone put them at the front of a Mk3 yet ?? i cant find an area that seems strong enough at the front to place them, I can put them on the Subframe but dont really want to unless this is the only place i can ?

Anyone help as want it up so i can strip front brakes down and cant be arsed doing it one at a time with a jack !

Check the Guides Section Fella as I know there is Theads for Mk1 and Mk2's so a chance of one being in there for Mk3

can you not jack it up on the subframe and then put the axle stand under the jacking point! i know its low but can you not jack it onto a trolley jack??

Theres no similarities on the under carrage of the Mk3 so im kinda screwed with that, dont really want to put stands on the jack points its bad enough jacking it up from there as it is !

Its fine to jack a mk3 up to the left of the actualy jacking point on pass side (right on drivers side). Then put stands where the jacking point is. Or its fine to use the subframe.

yeah thats what i use at the rear for the stands and jacking it up.

On the chasis bolts if it was me.

If I ever need to jack up a strange car i've never done before, I always do it on the frame bolts.

So place them on the rusted bolt you can see in the pic in line with the cat ??

no! one to the right the main bolt take the top off the axle stand and the the bolt go inside of it
