plastic bit

ok there is a plastic sheet just behind where the front splitter is, i think it is there to protect the engine, anyways it's broken and part of it is hanging down and keeps catching on the road as i am driving along, I need to get it fixed coz i am worried it will do even more damage if it breaks......

does anyone know what the part number is for it or has a diagram or a name for the part so that i can describe it more easily when calling up to order a new one?

take it to your local garage, or renault dealer, they will tell you what the problem is

it is just the under tray lad, mine came off years ago, only damage is that it messes up your engine bay when you go through puddles.

would worry about it. if you really want to you could go toa scrappies, get a new one, undo a couple of self tappers and replace it.

yep just the undertray bit, i thought it might be protectin the engine or something so was worried about taking it off, didnt wanna hole in my radiator or worse lol....guess i cud jus go to the scrappies an see wot they have, wud be a million times cheaper than gettin one from renault im sure!! lol

just remove the undertray. is it the front one that connects to the bumper or the one under the sump?

yeah, which one? my undertray had cracked so i removed it. it was the undertray underneath the radiator. helps rad circulation. i need to replace mine sometime. £35 from renault iirc. need a trip to the scrapyard to see if i can get one. i guess non sport ones are different tho.

sorry, im not very good with names of parts haha i prob sound like a rite eedyot! It's the smaller one next to the bumper yer, my b/f crashed in to a kurb in the snow hense why it has split. Think i mite take it off for now then if it won't make a difference and then buy a new one in a few weeks time
