Just running through the dash, I thought all the 360 supported still was .wmv files ?

I'm guessing you've got an xvid\divx avi file, these don't play at all without extra software :dapprove:

OR

cat5 your laptop to yoru xbox360 and set up windows media centre extended

This is a real ball ache for me, TVersity doesnt want to work anymore, and im just on XP SP2 so i dont have media centre, so i downloaded WMP11 and couldnt figure out how to add stuff to my library.

Looks like im gonna have to go back to vista!

nope, when i right click no menu comes up, and when i click "click here" and add a folder that blatantly has videos in, they dont show up :S

Sorry not too sure how the 360 is like as a media extender.

Does tversity use the built in libraries or does it have different ones?

Hard to set up?

Got a 43" pioneer :s should look nice.

TVersity is a 5/10 minute job to set up. Only problem is ive had a right pain in the arse getting it to work with XP SP2, but I know of people that have got it to work first time. Guess I'm just unlucky, lol.

I started this post but am now totally lost! Are you talking about installing software onto the xbox? How do you do this and does it have an effect on getting on live (ie. do microsoft ban you?).

No mate, TVersity and other likewise transcoding programs sit on your pc, and just stream stuff to your xbox.

For media center, your 360 is already a media center extender, so you don't have to do anything illegal :)
