Playstation 3/Nintendo Wii

Anyone know if these, and the games are multiregional? I want to get some over form USA or Canada, just wondering if they will work in the UK, and if the games I buy in the UK will work on them, if I bought them from over there?

Wii are region locked AFAIK, PS3 are not AFAIK. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong though.....

No reflection on you, or even the OP but what i'm saying it sure it's not that difficult to look for your answers yourself. Probably takes 2/3 times longer to post on here than it would of taken to look on google.

Just questioning the rationality behind it, or is it just down to laziness?

PS3 isnt region locked for games, but is for Blu-Ray although at the moment most UK Blu_Ray movies are region free but this will change.

Wii is region locked, US plays US games, UK plays UK games etc

Fair enough! I was just promoting discussion, and was looking for a few dif answers as the results on the forum show that not everyone is sure, with a website through google you get lots of pages, which might say one or another, i was looking to see if anyone had real expreience of using either of the US ones in ENgland

You could argue that for ALOT of threads on CS though, maybe half the stuff on here are asked elsewhere etc.

LOL NO I am sure

My Jap PS3 plays US and Jap games. It has also had UK, US and JAP Blu-Ray fed through it. It will only play Jap PS2 games.

UK games DO NOT work on a US Wii. A friend borrowed Zelda and it did not work on his US Wii he got on hols this crimbo.
