Please Help! Idle Control Valve. Where





my revs are goin ape sh!t and people on and off here have said clean my ICV, can someone describe to me or even better show me a pic of it, i know jack sh!t about engines so......



thanks, need to get this fixed as it is drivin me mad :-(

disconnect the battery before you fit a new one...Renault issued a note about this, apparently if you change it without disconnecting the battery the new valve will be the same as the old......:confused: God knows why but just do it

they say if you dont disconnect the battery when you fit a new valve the computer will use the learnt parameters from the old valve which will immediatly damage the new one.you are also supposed to run them in so the computer can set them up.run them up as follows 1,idle for 15mins with no electrical items on(eg,radio,lights etc) 2,idle for 15mins with electrical consumers on(eg,lights,radio,etc).this procedure was issued due to the premature failure of replacement idle valves.
