PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!! URGENT

Just gone to get in my N reg 16V to take my girlfriends mum and dad to the airport and the battery is dead !! I only put a brand new Bosch silver top battery on about 2 weeks ago. I havent used the car for a few days, would the alarm light drain it in this time ? If not where do I start looking to find whats wrong, could it be my alternator and how can I check this, can an alternator drain a battery without the car running ? I recently had a problem with the car redlining without me touching the throttle which mysteriously disapeared with a new battery, has anyone else experienced this ?

being a new battery it should recover enough to start your mota if its dissd for a couple of hours...if it dont then its faulty....

Got it on charge now so will find out in a couple of hours, bit worried about it not being the battery though, the last one just died on me like this one.

Saw it on Watchdog...RAC Scam...

Rac would turn up to someone whod broken down and tell em it was the battery....they showed on the program that a flattened battery would recover enough to start the engine after an hour or so if it was a good un.

So you could have other probs...possibley alternator. If you have a multimeter check the voltage of the battery it should be 12/13V IF you can start it check it again...should be 14V+ if the alternator working.

Oh right, nice one, havent got a multimeter unfortunately though, will give it a charge anyway so the alarm will be ok overnight. Will have to get the alternator checked out if it starts.
