Please HELP! Xenon Ballast & Ignitor?

Garage isn't sure what's on my non working Xenon (mot failed). So he replaced the bulb and it's still not working.

Is there an ignitor and blalast or are these the same thing?

There's a starter on the back of the light could remove the one from the working side and try it to see if it's that? if that doesn't work it could be the ballast.

As above. Got spares here that are for sale if needed.

If the light flickers then it's usually the ballast. If it does not turn on completely then it's the ignitor. As said above; swap the ignitors over to confirm

Learning curve. Sorted now guys thanks to another member in my wanted thread.

Was the ballast. Garage that failed its mot changed the bulb though without checking any of the other items, and now I'm 60 bucks down for a working bulb
