ok this is driving me mad, due to downloading some s**t from limewire my computer is constantly flashing up this message which is driving me mad!!!!

Go into Internet Explorer and it check that under the 'File' menu that 'Work Offline' isn't on.

Sounds like you've installed some nasty "dialer" virus/trojan which tries to call some premium rate number via the 56k modem.

As most people don't have or use dialup modems anymore the most common symptom is your screenshot above.

Is there a tick next to it or not? No tick should mean it's set to online at the moment and how it should be.

another symtom is everytime i try and load a page it sometimes prompts this message

Have you done the basics first mate? I.E Run a full virus scan? If so with which software? Tried running Spybot or Windows Defender?

Stu have you unticked the 'Work Offline' in the File menu if it was on?

ive ran random virus scans they have helped but im still left with this message

Is there anything showing in the Internet Options > Connections tab? Anything you don't recognise?
