Plenum removal and gaskets

  ClioII 1.2L 2003
Hello fellows

I'm about to remove my Plenum to give it and the throttle body a good clean,...also sending the injectors to be done by Ultrasonic as my car has 100K on the clock:eek::dead:

Concerning a 1.2 16V Plenum, is their any gaskets I need to be looking for to replace??

any tips and advice on removal will be much appreciated :D

Regards

If its any help I've taken off a set on the 1.2 and didnt need new gaskets

Whether you're supposed to or not is a different matter, but as far as I'm concerned if you don't have an air leak then why bother.

At last.......:D

What do you mean by air leak???

I recently noticed some oil on the sparks........should this be cam cover seal on this engine type??

Thanx for your help

Yeah I suspect it will be the rocker gasket presuming you don't mean on the tip of the plug? (I can't remember wheather they have a liquid or rubber type seal though)

When you bolt the plenum back together you obviously don't want any air leaks (Infact I dont recall even seeing any seals (perhaps because the inlet/plenum is plastic)

You should be fine
