Plugs

  CLIO RS CUP
NGK PFR6E10 plugs are the ones i assume i need for my 172 cup. These seem to be about £50 for 4. or 18 each from Renault with out my discount.

My question is..... why these plugs? why not the others advertised by NGK or bosch for example??

Im new to Clio RS' so im "learning myself" lol

look on ebay you can get these plugs a fair bit cheaper, don't forget you will need a new manifold gasket too

These are the plugs that are recommended.

Others will fit, but these are the best ones imo.

If people SEARCHED, they would find the link for them much cheaper - Ive posted it numerous times....

I did SEARCH. THe point of this thread is for me to gain the information behind why the other plugs cause issues...... I wanna learn ya see :)

Ive already bought them, i think that link is the one i used. But many thanks for reposting it.

From what ive just found while searching, other plugs dont give as cleaner burn.

Renault state to only use the PFR6E10 as well.

Sure Fred/Danny will be along to confirm though.

Im not sure of the exact reason, but the NGK PFR6E10's are the plugs that Renaultsport recommend only for the F4R, im guessing something to do with temperature range and the way it delivers the spark, im sure fred will be able to give a better explanation lol

Edit: Ben posted as I did lol

Read this plug changing guide i did a while ago and you will see why you HAVE to use the correct plugs :)........it took my engine about two weeks to recover from the wrong plugs as it just messes with the timing of the spark and throws the whole smooth running of the engine into meltdown(did on mine anyway :) )

cheers for the guide, used it earlier when doing my plugs :)

You're welcome, wish i had one to work to when i did mine :)

Not sure either mate why you need to use them but i wish i had used them first time, i still have minor cold start issue's even now from using the wrong plugs.
