plusnet plus package

looking at getting broadband at the flat and only really want to pay about 15 a month

so was looking at the plusnet plus package

would this be ok for downloading a few films a month too or is their packet shaping and download restrictions quite strict ???

or would i be better off going for the premier package

most of the time it would be just epg's,banking, shopping pictures small videos etc etc maybe a bit of online gaming too

Plusnet are nothing more than a cut price budget isp now. Do yourself a favour and pay a bit more for a decent ISP. They shape the hell out of usenet & p2p on both plus AND premier. Over the last 6 months they seem to have gone from one blunder to another.

I'm going to migrate away from them when I get back from holiday.

Premier is slow, I can't imagine what plus is like!

i went with plus net recently mate, started off with the basic package and within days of using it upgraded to the premier as it is shaped so much, P2P was utter sh*te, have read some horror stories about Plus Net and the general opinion on them appears to be not great at all, personally I wouldn't recommend the basic package, but I have found since upgrading to premier (2mb) that its GREAT, i don't know if I am just lucky, because I have heard of others upgrading and finding no difference.

f2s, metro & zen are where most people went. Plusnet have lost and upset a lot of their most loyal long standing customers.

PlusNet 2mb Premier here too £21.99 a month, P2P works well especially torrents. Reliable too.

yep, very reliable, been with them over a month in the new house now, not connectivity\speed problems whatsoever.

PlusNet used to be market leaders, they then made a lot of their community active member base very angry indeed with their stupid downgrade fee's and numerous other ploys.

They are now paying the price for their backstabbing policies.

Thankfully i jumped ship as soon as i heard the word "cap" being banded about on ADSLguide forums. I'm now with www.f2s.com and am very happy indeed, as i have been for nearly 9 months now. Great support, very understanding and good performance. Also very good pings if your into gaming to most EU servers.

Been using plus.net for years too, very happy with the speed and reliability (well as happy as an outside-London ADSL customer can be!)
