Polish on plastic door trims....



I know I should of masked them up but I didn't so whats the best stuff to get it off the bump strips. I went over it with back to black but after abit of rain its back to how it was...

A dressing will just cover the white marks up, not remove them. WD40 seems to do this job well and also creates a nice protective layer too. There are a few dedicated products out there but don't use any myself as this method works well for me.

I gave mine a clean with Fairy washing up liquid and Autoglym engine and machine cleaner when they were off the car and it seemed to remove the polish marks for me. Had them colour coded now so no more problems :rasp:
 
i bought some armorall plastic cleaner for this exacvt problem - use a toothbrush or similar to work it in and it comes off easily

The Einszett is used first to clean the marks then the AG. The bumper care used alone will only cover the stains up.
 
Mix one eigth linsed oil and seven eigths white spirits and clean it off witht hat mixture with a paper towel. Sometimes need to do it a few times.
