polish/wax/paint restorer.. what sequence?

Car  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
cleaning the TT tonight

i have paint resorer thats opviously 1st

then is it wax or polish after that?

i never know which way round to do it. anyone help?
 
polished it again last night and waxed it, its still not smooth like i would expect,

any product recomendations
 
I have just polished with AG super resin and then zymol carbon wax (its all I had left) should I really have sealed it then with something like the zymol HD cleanse ?? Also what effect will not sealing the paint have ?

If your being anal about it. You need to Degrease/Detar and dry before you start any correction process.
Time between Waxing is also not necessary. And alot of guys are now missing out sealant and going straight from a pre wax cleanser to a Wax.
 
claying wont necessarily give you a smooth surface, as the paint might have a rough finish. So after removing all contaminants by claying and degreasing with alcohol like IPA, you will get a smooth finish if you go over it with a final finish polish. Then apply a couple coats of sealant, a wax, then if you really want it smooth and shiny go over with a detailer spray like megs last touch or britemax
