Polishing metal (exhaust tips)

What do you guys reccomend? The tail pipe on my exhaust is rather dull and it needs brightening.

Autosol.

, then SRP on a polishing cloth.

If it's bad, grades of wet and dry paper, then the above.

That plus a good de-tar solution.

Not sure i'd use wet and dry tbh.... If metal polish and wire wool doesn't take 99% off the s**t off then it's past the point of no return tbh!

Autosol is the dogs b****cks. dont bother with meguiars run-of-the-mill crap

Never used that stuff, but swear by Autosol. Personally just go with it, it is in Halfords and available online as well.

its good stuff. Protects the metal as well. I would try with a soft cloth and Autosol first, only use the wire wool if it is stubborn.

if it doesn't come up shiny, you need more elbow grease

Autosol is okay but IMO you just can't beat the Britemax metal twins.

Easy Cut = Metal Cleaner / Polish
Final Shine = Metal Polish / Sealant

NXT isnt very abrasive, well not compared to autosol anyways Id only use wire wool if its very very bad. Always found a cheap MF cloth and some autosol sorts it out.

any cutting polish and a bit of elbow greese,

mine was very dull so i used G3 cutting compound (same as when you buff a new painted car)and its looks like new, no straches and its still a polish.in any good motor retail outlet.
