i know most of you guys think these are crap but is it better than polishing by just hand?

You will be able to remove more defects by hand !

Because the amount of force you can use by hand will have more power than that machine. Those machines 'just about' have the power to remove a polish or wax. They do not have enough power to actually correct defects.

As Rich says, as soon as you apply any pressure with those things they basically stop.

take these peoples advice matey, i tried to tell the same thing to a friend but he still went off an bourght one, he started to clean his car an only wanted to use it to remove autoglyms ultra deep shine stuff an like the above have said as soon as he put a bit of pressure on the machine it came to a holt.
Waste of time and waste of money
