pollen filter

can anyone tell me where it is and how easy it is to change a pollen filter on a 172 cup with CC?
the dealer tried to charge me £70 to do it when the filter only costs £15.
so im going to do it myself!

any help would be much appreicated!

getting the wipers off is the hardest part, i took mine to rac auto windscreens and bunged the guy a tenner to get them off with their special tool scuttle pannel comes off easy wipers go back on easy

172 cups dont have pollen filters ......................m8 ???????????:S

It might not help but on the 172 it's located in a black box that's above and behind where the brake master cylinder is. Easy enough to get at without removing the wipers. Just take off the plastic section that's below the windscreen on the drivers side. Remove the two screws on top of the black box, pull out the old one and refit the clean filter.

kully, mine has climate control in it thats why i have a pollen filtr, but i think that all cars with a heater in has a pollen filter in it!

You don't have to take the wipers off, its under the drivers side scuttle panel in a black box with a single small bolt in it.
I've changed mine on both me old 1.2 that had climate and my 1.6 with normal aircon and the procedure is the same for both.
