Are Polyurethane steering wheels really that bad? I would love a nice suede or leather wheel as much as the next guy, but for the wheels I'm looking at Polyurethane is coming out at almost half as much as a leather or suede alternative. It would only be for track use and a bit of road driving here and there.
Could I live with the Polyurethane if it meant I got the wheel and a boss and change for less than the cost of a suede wheel on its own? Or is it so nasty I'm going to want to wear gloves all the time to avoid touching it with my bare hands?
