Porting the cylinder head?

hi
when porting and polishing my inlet manifold i noticed that the cylinder head is grooved. will porting this make much of a difference or are the grooves there for a reason?

yeah the inlet ports are cnc'd in the factory

Yea, the ports are CNC'ed from factory.

There are great gains to be had in terms of bulk numbers and flow quality, but i wouldnt touch it if you have no exprience with this particular head. The CNC process leaves next to zero material in areas you want, so traditional porting theories dont really see gains in the way you'd expect them to.
