Possible new car?

  Trophy 049
I currently have an 08 C2 VTS and I'm just not feeling it anymore. I'm after a 182 ideally, probably 05. I'm just not sure what to look for at all. Is it worth looking for one with any cup packs, maybe a cup? Maybe a trophy?
Anything i should avoid. Any help would be much appreciated.

Go trophy!

Or on for the 182 with both cup packs so you get the luxuries. All depends what you want from the car mate

I have no idea. I know i can crawl faster than my C2 and anythings gonna be an improvement on that. I've just read the 'sticky' on 182s etc.

Is a standard with both packs gonna be similar to a cup, in terms of drive? I am a fan of my climate control now as well, haha. About the only thing i do like.

  182 Ly ff.
A 182 with cup packs is prob classed a cup, but they aren't as extreme as a 172 cup! Not as light still get leather seats aircon etc.

General consensus on here is the minimal 172 Cup or 182 Full Fat with all the toys. Anything else is a bit of a middleground. Or the Trophy if your budget allows.

thanks a lot! I reckon I might look at a FF 182 then so I can have a few of the 'luxuries'. that or find a nice trophy!

Trophy would presumably make most sense, they have air con too. Worth asking when the Sachs dampers were last serviced if you're picking one up.

Trophy. But you'll find it very hard to find a good one! Brother is looking for one at the mo. Was going to buy a 29k mile standard non forum member up @ just under 7. Got an RAC check and all sort pinged up. You'll be very lucky to find a good one. Also with 453 uk versions left. With iirc 28 of those SORN. Good luck

It's not hard to find a decent trophy!

It is if you're an anal lover and want to buy a 6 year old car with 300 miles on the clock!

lol when did you last look for one? There are most probably one fusy buyers looking for Trophies becuase of what they are. With the exception of the person who started this thread. I'd be willing to be you £10 right now his next car is not a trophy. Sorry to dishearten you Laurence becuse i can see you don't have your heart set on anything at the mo. There are alot of trophies on the market at the mo even more than ever i believe but time and time again i see them listed missing splitters, damaged alloys, melted sterring wheel all the usual problems and then some. I think your over doing the 300 mile business it's quite lucky for buyers as most Trophies have got lowish mile for thier age compared the 197 F1 and smilar edtion roll numbers. But when you find a good milage one as my brother had done with 29,000 very few have less then this you expected it to be in good condition but this wasn't the case.
For people selling there which are higher milage and modded fourum member what would you expect perfect examples?

If you aint anal at looking for a trophy you'll never find a good one. If your a buyer not bothered by these things fine i hope you'll look after the car as it's more than likely you won't!

Surely if you were this touchy/anal-you'd just buy new replacements and/or have any paint defects touched up?

But when you find a good milage one as my brother had done with 29,000 very few have less then this you expected it to be in good condition but this wasn't the case.

If these are the things you are looking at on a Clio, you are looking at the wrong things lol. Also with regards to mileage, it's condition over mileage every time.
