Possible Steering Rack Problem

Right,

Had this problem for a while now and its not the tracking. My car veers to the left constantly I can't leave go of the steering wheel for more than 2 seconds as i change lane on the motorway. Also the steering wheel itself resorts to a slightly left turn look rather than being dead center.

Also when join the motorways on the curly roads, when i'm on a left hand turn the car seems to want to turn more and I have to stop it. Something is wrong and i'm taking it into the garage to get looked at this weekend. Got a MOT tomorrow and a bleb on my front drivers side tyre so thats a failure, lost the locking nut and the garage doing the test said they will remove the locking nuts, i'll just have to put the old ones back in.

Anyone else had problems with the steering?

I have a Clio 182 with Cup pack.

I have the Exact same problem. I am going to try tracking but i suspect the rack has play in it because when the iginition is off i can get a knock out of it

I get knocking also but i've had that for years. The cars 5 year old now. My brother said he took it to a garage and the man said it maybe the steering rack as there was movement/give in the wheels. The cars been brilliant for me so far, no major problems at all. So i guess if it is the steering rack its the first major one as there not cheap to get replaced i've heard.

Also my heat shield rattles as both the washes have work the heat shield away and it does my tits in, gonna get that fixed.
