Possible to fix this damage?

So on my boot there is some weird looking paint work, looks like hundred of little scratches/cracks as such.
The only way i can think of how it could of happened was when someone debadged the boot in its younger years as its only on one side of the boot.

Anyway to remove it? wet and dry it maybe? im totally not clued up on cleaning cars but wouldnt mind some advice on trying to sort this if possible.

Awful pics,

Just a guess, if it's the paint cracking then surely wet and dry'ing it wouldn't work? Wet and dry buffs stuff out, right? Doesn't fill the cracks?

I could be completely wrong, but..

No idea, everyone always just talks about wet and drying stuff so i thought maybe it could work on this? lol. I literally know nothing of cleaning cars.

Im as much of an expert in cleaning as you but to me that looks like its seen a shoddy paint job in its past.

So what your saying is I should repaint it myself? ;)

I would have guessed that wet and dry'ing it could have taken the paint off to be fair... if it's split.

Solely for the fact its cracked.

I know as much about championship equestrian as I do this kinda thing though.

Ill wait for a detailing expert to hopefully give me some advice, im not overally bothered by it but if I can fix it I will :)

John id rather sticker bomb it than wrap it tbh, the wrap would be worse than my shoddy paint job anyway ;)

No places you can really try it with out it being seen, if people think it may work ill just try it on the boot I mean it cant really get any worse can it? ha

Affected area, awesome diagram.

Can you feel the cracks? Or is it under the lacquer? Also your car may have been repainted with acrylic lacquer...not at all long lasting. The solution -- Strip down to bare metal, prime and repaint. Sorry.

I reckon it's either had a dent/scratch or someone has badly removed the badge previously and done a DIY paint job that looked okay at the time. Unfortunately I think respray is the only answer dan :(

If they can't be felt with the finger nail then id have thought wet sanding would get them out, just removing the top few microns of the lacquer then polishing up.

I think you should sell those wheels, like them a lot.. Full car in that colour is the wtg

Ford Roman Bronze is the colour, it is a nice colour but two of them are now black.

Another pikey wheel refurb will start when i get back from the ring, the colour they are going i havent chosen yet :)
