Invaluable for messing about with the car. Dropped bolts? No problem
I dropped a sidelight bulb inside a headlight once and one of these saved me hours of time taking the bumper off and light out!

Great bit of kit!

Linky/what do I search? I've done exactly that and had it left in the light for the past couple of months!

Really depends what you mean.
My most used/relied upon tools, which I like for their quality is probably my halfords socket set from years ago, the proper one with the deep sockets and so on. These have been responsible for rebuilding countless cars, engine swaps, roadside fixes in the alps:

For being so much better than the old butane ones and so useful for localised high heat car applications, household tasks, fireworks, barbeques....

But along a similar veign to earlier, the only one thats ever made me emotional, mainly relief is this:

Without a doubt this. A rivnut gun. I only got it at the end of last year and its been used so so many times. I can't believe I hadn't got one before. Perfect for P clips in the car, mounting fire extinguishers, using it to secure my gearstick housing, door pulls, abs module when the original threads failed, used it to make my pms coil pack bracket captive so I didn't have to use nuts and bolts, holding brake lines to the car. This particular model that has now been discontinued goes from m4 to m12 too and was around £35 or so. Ordered some carbon steel rivnut selections from Amazon and they're lasting me ages.
