Well some of you will remember that i posted a thread recently regarding how Pink my grandads red Agila was. Anyway i organised a day with my grandad were he could come down in the morning and spend the day at mine while i fixed his car thinking "the bonnet didnt take long to correct" Sadly mistaken to say the least.
Anyway first of all i started off by Snowfoaming the car and washing it with Megauires Gold Class shampoo.
After drying the car off with Megs Last touch and a Drying towel it looked like this.
Pretty sorry state. Anyway whilst drying i noticed the indecator lenses in the wings were Rank to say the least so they were cleaned.
Then whilst masking the car i noticed this on the bumper, i gave it a rub but it wasnt budging so it must have been repainted at some point and someone couldnt wait to refit.
So after finishing up masking i moved the car into my garage for polishing. First port of call was the roof as it was also the most fiddley bit and if its done its out of the way.
Before
During
After (flash has made it look a tad pink but its not)
After defeating the roof lol i took to doing the Drivers side and removing another mark id noticed when drying the car off on the rear quarter.
Mark Before
Mark what mark?...
Side
At this point i had to call it a day because of various problems (not car related) and because of the effort needed lol.
Day 2
The hatch was a pain because of things getting in the way but that wasnt to difficult to fix. But i did do this at 12am as i couldnt sleep so i had it finished for the following morning.
Passenger side was up next, my grandad doesnt carry passengers in the back but he does have a "roy cropper" bag and he puts it in the back and because he wears quite a few rings this is the damage to the passenger rear door.
Before
After
I didnt get many more pictures after this as i was trying not to be all day with it so i finished the side of the car and gave the bonnet a quick once over. moved it out side ready for a quick foam to remove all the dust.
Then Dryed it off and applyed some Wax and megs tyre gel.
Any comments welcome.
Mike
