Power Steering...Odd Noise

When I put my wheels to full lock and pull off there is a huge noise that comes from the wheels, and it dosent sound good.

Any ideas what this is?

My mate had this problem in his 1.2 dynamique. We put it down to him having fitted the 172 wheels and no spacers causing the inside of the wheel to rub against the inside of the wheel housings when turning at lock.
