Power steering pump Question

This is going to sound stupid but does the Aux belt drive there power steering pump? Also if the belt is slipping would it cause the pump to be noisey while it is cold. The belt does slip when cold from time to time. Thanks Lee

Yes lee pretty sure it does. If the belts slipping might be best to get it checked, don't want it snapping!

Yep it does the axu belts are more noisy in the cold

aux belt tensioner gets noisy when turning if the bearing is on its way out, very common on the 1*2's.

It was changed about 400 miles ago. Back to the garage.

sounds like they didnt tighten it properly,
or a bearings going

Best to change the tensioner and pully also. If one of them breaks its bye bye belt + probably cambelt.
