You talking about the back two mounts? If so, I don't know why people spend so much money on these Powerflex ones.
Admittedly a bit pikey but I used 2 sockets under one of the mounts and got the tips sitting EXACTLY how I wanted them for next to nothing.
I used the generic red Powerflex ones and drilled my own holes.
How are you finding them? Any resonance? This sounds a better choice than the black ones
Not really, although my whole car rattles anyway 😂
I just got 2 new exhaust hangers and filled in the gaps with some of this high temp sealant so it was more soild but still flexible . They've been on the car for about 3 years now and still doing their job . First of all though , i put cable ties through all of the holes because the original rubber can peel away from the aluminium mount . 1 tube is easily enough to do 2 mounts with plenty left over.

Haha they all do mate! Although I'm on a mission to get rid of as many rattles as possible
For the cost of a few cable ties and £5.99 it's worth doing , then you can forget about it . It might not look the prettiest job , but it works .Great idea, I might give this a go!
I used cable ties just as a precaution . I've seen the original rubbers just peel away and literally fall out of the aluminium bracket . This way , it can't fall out .Are the cable ties needed if it’s being filled with silicone anyway?
Bend the back box mounting arm towards the ground to make the exhaust sit closer to the car.I'm going back to a standard Renault one and
I hate my Powerflex exhaust mount, all the vibration has been transferred to the boot lid and it's annoying as f*ck.
Click on any point in the vid and you'll hear it, now imagine the revs staying at that sweet spot in traffic or on the motorway, it got a little better when I removed the plastic boot trim, but it's still there all the time.
Pointless to bin it. Like I said. You can add some flex by drilling the bush. Thats free!Red, I think over the years my exhaust has shifted slightly, so the mount has pulled it back to where it should be and it's took all the give out of making it essentially under stress, so even a tiny bit of vibration is amplified into the boot, i'm not really using the Clio as a daily atm so a weekend blast in it doesn't really annoy me, but at some point it's going in the bin and i'll silicone up a cheap ECP mount to replace it.
Where are you based Rich?
I've an OE mount coming in the morning to remake my CAD model from, I'll probably have a prototype out after the weekend.
If you could sell them for £21.54 delivered then you would probably sell a few, a bet powerflex have sold 100s.as currently they'd be more than the powerflex ones
Mate, you selling these yet? That was fast, I now have 3 volunteers local, so we'll see how it goes
