Woudl i be right in thinking that 99% of the time a cat-back system has a straight through centre section.

Would i also be right in thinking that powerflows systems are made from SS, and that SS does not rust.

My m8 when to AB Motorsport in Leamingtoon a few months back and had a full cat-back powerflow system fitted, cost him £300. He rang up tp ask about them making it louder and they said somethign about removing an expansion chamber, so he got me to have a look at it. As far as i can tell wihtout touching it as it was bloody hot, the system is beginning to rust and hence is not SS, and looking at it it looks like they havent even touched the centre section, also the back box is rusting around the bracket mounting point and around the welds to the tail pipe.

Does he have a case for complaining?

yup, there guaranteed for life as far as im aware against rust

well they ARE garunteed fro life........but the s/s quality they use isnt always the best............even the highest quality s/s would rust under a lot of severe heat

Yeah i can appreciate that,b ut this is literally months old

Its got a lifetime guarantee.

Just take it back? Dont matter how old it is, whether it should have, etc..

Powerflow lifetime guarentee is very bad. My old exhaust started blowing so i took it back for them to fix and they said its lifetime was over..

the lifetime garantee does have its drawbacks....i.e the zorst is only garanteed for whoever owned the car wen fitted

defo take it back espicially if they havent changed the centre section when you payed for it.
