  Clio v6

Just been on to my V6 hotline. They told me the new V6 will only be handled by Renault "Premier" Centers

My regular dealer ( 95% EX-Rover staff ) it seems, has now been awarded this bespoke title.

So thats why I saw them re-stocking that old coffee machine.

LOL No I get my driver to pick me up in the Lexus. I wouldnt give them the pleasure of giggling as I drove of in their 1.2.

I have nothing against the 1.2, only the dealers courtesy ones , they are all knackered.

More likely to get an old Allergo from my dealer.

There should be recognised RenaultSport dealers, it will give RS the recognition it deserves.
Thats a great idea. (inc specially trained technicians)

and generally people who arent bamboozled whenever you ask them a question!

Yes, its right. The V6 255 will only be sold by the Premier Centres - those that currently sell Vel Satis, Avantime and Espace. It should mean that these 60 or so Dealers will be better experienced in V6 and some be able to have demonstrators. We are looking at RS only specialisation but the volumes currently are too small to be viable. However, in the future it is possible as more RS products become available.

I think renaultsport cars (172, v6, williams etc ) should only be looked at at certain deisginated Renault garages... if theyre built in a different plant by different engineers to the rest of the clios then they should be serviced/repaired by specifically trained Mechanics.

jeremy- Ford hardly bring out RS cars every year though do they? I wouldnt expect anything major, BMW garages have small Mini places on their sites, renault could do the same. Its not like the 172 is that rare and soon theyll be the megane. I think its a bit of a joke that renault have Formula Renault, Formula One and the Clios series but hardly anyone has heard of Renault Sport whereas everyone knows Cosworth,RS, AMG and Mpower

I think that if you take a V6 in for service/repairs you should be given a courtesy V6, a 172 if a 172 is in, and if you take in a 1.2 that is what you should get as a courtesy car!
