Preperation help!

Recieved the cup spoiler last week although had alot of scratches/chips on it. Started to sand it all down today for priming but noticed that a few of the chips still feel deep. Is it ok to continue with this to prime or should it be filled or sanded more?

you don't want to sand too much in a concentrated area because you'll end up with big dips, i'd get a bit of stopper/filler in them
