Preventing rust on cams

Car  Toyota MR2 GT Turbo
I've got some cams that need to go in asap really, but I can't get them in for 2 months :(

So what can I do to prevent them from rusting? Spray them with wd40? I've got some engine oil I could soak them in?

Keep them in a warm, dry place and lubricate them... as you say WD40 or engine oil would be ideal.

Oiled/Greased and then bagged in ziploc/freezer-esque plastic bag thing is what my brother always advises.

Don't know if the same would apply for cams?

WD-40 isn't actually good for this. Oddly, it's water based. Very good as a penetrating agent, but not as a corrosion inhibitor

Bit of engine oil, wrap in bubble wrap or similar, done.

shouldn't rust anyway as they're not originals
