A RStuner is Cheaper, Unless you need a Live map because you have a decent set of mods.

ive only got an exhust and filter but dont have a laptop so cant use the rs tuner and it only works out to be about £20 more (i think), but that was what i was wondering, wether it was a live map or not as it dosent say in the add i saw

You must know some one with a laptop though :p

Buy a RStuner, map your car, Sell the Rstuner on.

As for prima racing, I dont know wether its a Live map or not :)

ahh, might see if the missis will let me use her net book. didnt think i could use it because theres no drives on it but if you download the programme then it should work. would i still get the same sort of gains in the end?

Thing is that's a good idea but the JMS one is a proper map tested on a rolling road and calibrated accordingly.

It is not a generic RS Tuner one so its cheaper and better.

Win Win IMHO.

:)

Just to clarify. The K-tec equipment is different from the RStuner gear.

The RStuner is a fastchip mapping solution.

We use a 'master' unit created by Henk for ourselves, and we pay frequent visits to him at his RR facility in Holland to help develop the maps we apply to the the 1*2 cars.

The term Group N is technically wrong and is actually on a my list of things to update *groan!* on the website!

As ben says it is technically just a calibration, AKA a 98Ron map; not a Group N standard map.

whats the real gaines on this rs tuner map and does anyone know more about it

had an e mail back from them and this is what it said
"Hi,
re-map takes around 1-1.5 hours.
We raise the rev-limit by 500 rpm plus ign/fuelling adjustments which give +10/12 bhp normally.
regards"
not sure if that means its done on a rolling road or not though but 10 to 12 bhp extra is quite a good result so will definatly be thinking about this once im strait.

Kev K-Tec will send you a mapped ECU for a deposit, you replace yours with it and then send them your standard one back.

Ideal as you don't have to travel to get it sorted then ;)
