Got 8 years no claims now so I thought I'd give them a try.

Firstly tried for a quote on the internet and it came about £300 more than my renewal with Direct Line so I called them. Spent 15 minutes confirming all my details and they said they could indeed guarantee to beat my renewal

Guess how much they beat your renewal by? Yup 99p.. :clown:

lol they couldnt beatr my dads renewal, all of £56 for the year!!

thing with directline and privilege is theyre the same companies, however, point to note, if you are involved in a fault accident, then you get a repair car off the garage if you are with privilege, you do no with directline!!!

With my 2 claims last yr i can vouch that privilege are about as good as it gets with insurance companies.

Privlege is best I can find. Cheaper by a long way. I've got 5 yrs NCB.

£1600 they quoted me .. lol went with APlan in the end £639 .. oh and Griff .. isn't this i the wrong section ???

It's more to do with false advertising than insurance per say so I posted it here :rasp:

i'm with privilege & they were quite a it cheaper than anywhere else that i tried (this time round)
i got something like 7/8 years no claims

they beat my renewal on the 182. £481 full comp. 26 with 5yrs ncb.

Both of our cars are with Priviledge (182 Cup and A3 1.8 T Sport) as they were significantly cheaper than all the other usual suspects.

Plus, bacl to the thread subject - they were cheaper than your renewal so the advertisment was correct!
